We know what Marvel movies are part of Phase 2 of the Cinematic Universe: ‘Iron Man 3,’ ‘Thor 2,’ ‘Captain America 2,’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘The
THEY MENTIONED MS MARVEL!!!!! Okay sure there should be a “Captain” in there and many things have had scripts in the works which never became movies BUT THEY MENTIONED HER! WHICH IS INFINITELY MORE OF A MENTION THAN WAS EVER DONE BEFORE! YES I AM STARVING FOR A FEMALE-LED SUPERHERO MOVIE TO THE POINT WHERE I GLEEFULLY CHOW DOWN ON THESE CRUMBS!

Okay comics folks I just picked up the Avengers Assemble Age of Ultron tie-in from last week and YOU GUYS A HIJABI LADY SUPERHERO IS NOW CAPTAIN BRITAIN WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS
Oh awesome. Fazia Hussian has been great in everything I’ve ever seen her in. I really hope the appearances of Captain Britain and Fazia might mean a revival of their superteam.
a Muslim woman is now Captain Britain? Why isn’t anyone talking about this?
What else has Fazia been in? Because I loved her in the latest AA and would love to read more.

I absolutely loved that the dogs came along and had their own goggles.
That thing in Paris?
That´s the beginning. Ward is on assignment in Paris and does something kind of brilliant and kind of not quite in the rulebook, gets beaten up and so on…
If you look closely, in the scene where he meets Coulson, he has a bruise on his cheekbone. And it sounds like he gets quite a talking to by (I assume) Hill.
Cool! You know I wondered if Ward had a mark on his cheek, but I couldn’t tell if it was just a shadow.

Reblogging for the morning crowd. My obsessive Zaprudering of the Agents of SHIELD trailer in order to figure out J August Richards’ storyline. Pure speculation on my part, but possibly spoilery on the odd chance I’m right.
So it’s possible I have watched this trailer far more than is reasonably healthy. *cough* But, having done so, I believe I’ve stitched together some of the timelines of what they’re showing us.
This is pure speculation on my part, fair warning for possible spoilers just in case.
This is predominantly involving J August Richards’ character, as his was the one with the clearest through-line.
****POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW****
All right, if you watch closely in the scene with the action figures (0:15) you see a cute little kid looking at them. J August Richards’ (JAR for short) character is in the background, apparently buying a hot dog. You can’t see his face (THANKS TONY), but you can see his clothes and hair.
(2:22) JAR pulls the little boy towards him as the top floor of a building blows.
(0:49) JAR jumps/flies down to the street carrying a woman he’s saved from a brick building where the top floor is on fire. Skye catches footage of this on her cell phone.
(2:09) JAR puts the woman he rescued down on the ground.
(2:18) JAR runs off, leaving the woman behind. Skye sees him do it.
(0:40) Ward finds out Coulson is alive.
(0:52) Coulson identifies JAR as a superhero to Ward. if it’s a continuation of the previous scene, that means JAR’s saving of the woman happens before Ward finds out Coulson is alive.
(1:04) Coulson still talking to Ward about SHIELD and JAR. You can spot the Rising Tide logo on the footage of JAR, so Skye either already posted her footage to the Rising Tide website, or SHIELD hacked into her files to steal it and thoughtfully left her watermark intact. (Note the Rising Tide footage of Hulk behind Ward’s head.)
(1:33) Ward meets Fitz and Simmons for the first time. They look to be inside of an aircraft of some kind. A hummer is parked behind Ward.
(2:34) “Don’t touch Lola.” The hummer is to Lola’s right and the area around it looks like the plane.
(1:13) Ward sees Melinda May, aka my new girlfriend, flying the plane and is told by Coulson “She’s just the pilot.”
(1:01) Melinda examines two craters left in the street left by JAR, then looks up.
(1:37) Simmons examines the charred husk of something in a place that looks completely burnt out. Possibly the same building that JAR saved the woman from? Melinda and Ward are in the background.
(1:39) Simmons pulls something out of the charred husk, claiming “It’s not of this Earth.”
(1:10) Cellphone footage of JAR, either Skye’s without the watermark or someone else’s, plays on the news as seen on a TV in Skye’s van. Skye warns JAR that he’s in danger from SHIELD (Of note: the news station’s call letters begin with a K, which makes it not an East Cost station.) Skye is wearing a dark colored shit with some kind of pattern.
(1:45) Coulson and Ward meet and grab Skye out of her van. Skye is wearing a dark colored shit.
(1:50) They bring Skye into an airplane. Lola can be seen on its onramp.
(1:51) Coulson and Ward let Skye know there is no easy way. She’s wearing the same outfit she had on in her van.
(2:17) JAR flips a man away from him in an undetermined location. JAR is wearing a tan coat and a blue and white plaid shirt.
(2:14) Either a cleaned up version the same thing that Simmons discovered or a similar thing (you can tell by the shape). Possibly embedded in JAR’s arm, given that the shirt pattern matches the blue and white plaid we see him in earlier.
(2:15) Coulson warns that SHIELD isn’t the only one interested in people with powers. (Possibly this relates to the footage of two men, one in a lab coat, seen at 1:43 with the heading of “SHIELD Mobile Ops A-21”)
(2:17) Coulson says “Only take the shot if you have to” with a cut to Ward with a gun. Assuming these shots are related, it can be noted that there are palm trees in the background behind Ward.
(2:25) JAR, wearing the tan coat, and Skye run up to a glass railing inside of a building with a front almost entirely of glass. “NION STATION” can be seen. Possibly LA’s Union Station? Skye is wearing a purple shirt.
(2:30) JAR jumps down from this level to lay an epic bitch slap on somebody.
(1:19) Coulson walks into a building with a determined look on his face. Police are in the background. The ceiling is similar to when…
(2:08) Coulson talks to JAR about heroes being about what they do. Again identifiable because of JAR’s clothes. They’re inside of a building with a very sunny view through an open door in the background.
Shots that are difficult to place:
(1:25) Melinda delivers an epic beatdown to someone on a tall building surrounded by other tall buildings. By the design of the buildings, they would not be out of place in Los Angeles. She seems to be wearing an outfit similar to what she had on while flying the plane.
(2:00) Skye and Coulson in Lola, outdoors, difficult to determine location, difficult to tell what color shirt Skye is wearing.
All the ones in France. Though these do all seem to tie with a mysterious man in a suit (not you, Reese) that we see Ward beating up and who ultimately escapes thanks to a helicopter.
Coulson with holograms.
Ward with holograms.
“Don’t ever tell me there’s no way!”
And now the REAL speculation on my part:
So my guess is that the SHIELD gang investigates an explosion in a building that has an otherworldly connection of some kind. As part of that they become aware of JAR’s character (or becoming aware of JAR led them to find out about the otherworldly connection in the explosion). They recruit Skye to help them track down JAR.
JAR is possibly compromised by whatever the alien tech is. He possibly goes darkside because of it, leading the SHIELD gang to go after him and possibly shoot to kill, though that’s not their ideal solution to the problem.
They manage to save JAR in the end, and Coulson gives him the version of the “great power, great responsibility” speech which, I AM HOPING SO HARD OMG, leads to JAR joining the SHIELD team as a regular as well.
My guess is that the scene with Skye happens after everything else, and she’s offered a job with SHIELD which she ultimately takes.
Somewhere in this is a whole thing in Paris, though that seems to be mostly focused on Ward. So either it’s a whole other plotline we don’t have enough clues about (maybe relating to the various hologram shots, since Ward seems to be in the one of a guy lifting up a chair or a table of some kind) or it might be part of some cool “Here’s your James Bond-esque introduction to our character” style opener.
And you seriously do not want to know how much time it took me to write all of this. *cough*
